PagePilot alternatives for Shopify: what to compare first
PagePilot alternatives for Shopify, compared on what each vendor documents: product sources, where the page lives, uninstall behavior, languages and pricing.
Why you can trust us: we build Menaks, one of the tools discussed here, and it is not a drop-in replacement for every PagePilot workflow: it accepts only Amazon, AliExpress and Shopify product pages. Every statement below about another vendor comes from that vendor's own App Store listing, website or help pages, with the link beside it, read September 17, 2026. Where we found no documentation, we say so instead of guessing.
What PagePilot says it does
PagePilot is listed on the Shopify App Store as "PagePilot: AI Page Builder — Build AI Product Pages with Upsells & Bundles, on ANY theme". As of September 17, 2026, the listing showed 4.9 stars from 185 reviews. apps.shopify.com
According to the listing, you enter a product link from AliExpress, Amazon, Etsy, TikTok or Shein, and the app builds a page that "Works on your current theme, no new theme, no code". Those are the vendor's claims; we have not tested them independently.
PagePilot's price depends on where you read it
Two official PagePilot sources list two different plan ladders, so write the channel next to every price you compare. As of September 17, 2026:
- Shopify App Store listing: a Free plan with no export to your store, Lite at $39 a month for 10 pages, and Scaler at $59 a month for unlimited pages. apps.shopify.com
- PagePilot's own pricing page: Lite at $39 (10 pages, 1 store), Starter at $59 (unlimited, 3 stores) and Scaler at $99 (unlimited, 5 stores). pagepilot.ai
The plan called Scaler sits at $59 in one list and $99 in the other. Before you put PagePilot next to anything else, ask the vendor which ladder applies to the way you install it.
Building a page from a link is not what sets tools apart
Pasting a link and getting a page is available elsewhere too. GemPages, with 4.9 stars from 4,232 reviews as of September 17, 2026, lists a feature called "GemAI Image-to-Layout: Turn any image or URL into an editable page in seconds". apps.shopify.com
DropMagic, listed as "Dropmagic: AI Store Builder" with 4.9 stars from 46 reviews as of September 17, 2026, also starts from a product link, but it builds a whole store rather than one page. Its free plan generates, but in the listing's words "Cannot publish on Shopify"; publishing needs its single paid tier, Premium, at $79 a month. apps.shopify.com

Six things to compare before you switch
Each check below can be answered from the vendor's own listing or help center. If it can't, that gap is the answer you write down.
1. Which product sources it accepts
Source lists differ from tool to tool. PagePilot's listing names AliExpress, Amazon, Etsy, TikTok and Shein. GemPages talks about an image or a URL. Some tools accept a short list of sources and reject everything else. If most of your catalog comes from one marketplace, look for that marketplace by name in the documentation.
One rule holds whichever tool you pick: build pages for your own product, or one you're authorized to sell. If your source is AliExpress, our walkthrough of turning an AliExpress product URL into a Shopify landing page covers how it works and what to watch for.
2. Whether the page lives in your theme
PagePilot says it "Works on your current theme, no new theme, no code". Put the same question to every alternative, with one follow-up: can you edit the finished page in Shopify's own theme editor without the app? If not, every later change depends on keeping the app installed.
3. What happens when you uninstall
As of September 17, 2026, we found no PagePilot documentation describing what happens to published pages after an uninstall. We found none for DropMagic either. That does not mean anything bad happens. It means you don't know yet, so ask and keep the answer in writing.
Where vendors do document it, the answers differ sharply. GemPages writes that "Uninstalling GemPages can impact your live pages by removing certain files and scripts, potentially causing display issues due to Shopify's setup." help.gempages.net PageFly writes that "This deletion is immediate upon confirmation and is irreversible", for removal together with the app's data. help.pagefly.io Six vendors' answers, quoted side by side, are in what happens to your pages when you uninstall a page builder.
4. How languages are handled
Ask whether the tool writes the copy in your target language or displays a translation produced elsewhere. GemPages is direct: "GemPages itself does not perform translations. Instead, it displays the translated content provided by Shopify or the installed translation app." help.gempages.net PageFly offers its own AI Translator: "Translate your page content into any language with one click — and localize per Shopify market on higher plans." pagefly.io
Shopify's free route has a ceiling: "You can automatically translate a maximum of 2 languages." help.shopify.com Our September 17, 2026 evidence set has no language statement for PagePilot or DropMagic; ask them directly. The difference between translated and written copy is covered in multilingual Shopify landing pages: translated or written?
5. What it fills in for reviews, ratings and timers
AI-written pages can include social proof: a star rating, a review count, a countdown. Before you publish, check which of those a tool fills in by default and whether you can see and change them. The FTC states that "The Commission's Rule on the Use of Consumer Reviews and Testimonials went into effect on October 21, 2024." ftc.gov
On urgency, an FTC staff report (a report, not a rule) describes a baseless countdown timer as "showing a fake countdown clock that just goes away or resets when it times out". ftc.gov Timers are not the problem; a timer that lies is. The test: when the timer hits zero, does the offer actually end? More in are Shopify countdown timers and review widgets FTC-compliant?
6. What a "page" means in the price
Most App Store page builders we reviewed on September 17, 2026 sell a flat monthly subscription with a quota of published pages or sections. apps.shopify.com The quota is where like-for-like comparisons break. "10 pages" can mean pages created, pages published, or pages live at the same time, and some tools cap how many pages a store can hold at once regardless of plan. Find the unit before you compare the dollar figures.
Side by side: what each vendor documents
The table uses only what each vendor publishes. Prices are USD per month, as of September 17, 2026, from the linked page. "Not documented" means our review that day recorded no statement on it; it does not mean the feature is missing.
| Tool | What it builds | Product sources | Plans (as of September 17, 2026) | After uninstall | Languages |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PagePilot | AI product pages on your current theme (vendor claim) | AliExpress, Amazon, Etsy, TikTok, Shein links | App Store: Free (no export to store), Lite $39 (10 pages), Scaler $59 (unlimited). Own site: Lite $39, Starter $59, Scaler $99. App Store · pagepilot.ai | Not documented | Not documented |
| GemPages | Pages in a page builder, including from an image or URL | Image or URL (GemAI Image-to-Layout) | Free (1 published page), Build $29, Optimize $59, Enterprise $199. App Store | "can impact your live pages by removing certain files and scripts" help | Displays translations from Shopify or a translation app help |
| DropMagic | A whole store from a product link | Not documented | Free (generates; "Cannot publish on Shopify"), Premium $79. App Store | Not documented | Not documented |
| Menaks | One landing page, written into your active theme | Amazon, AliExpress and Shopify product pages only | Free (1 published page, watermarked), Pro $19.99 (10 published pages a month, 3 stores), Scale $39.99 (100 a month, fair use, 5 stores). One page per store at a time. App Store | Page stays in your theme; its section and asset files stay too | Copy in 9 languages, left-to-right only; app interface English and Turkish |
Which alternative fits which situation
If the products you're authorized to sell are listed on Etsy, TikTok or Shein
PagePilot's listing names those sources, and it is the only tool in the table that does. Check any alternative against your source by name before you move a single page.
If you want a whole store, not one page
DropMagic describes itself as a store builder, so it answers a different question than a page tool. If you want to publish, budget for its Premium plan.
If you already run a page builder
If GemPages is already in your theme, its image-or-URL feature may cover the job without a second app. The trade-offs to weigh are the ones above: its documented uninstall behavior, and where translations will come from, since GemPages documents that it does not translate pages itself.
If you would rather assemble the page yourself
Section Store says it "adds sections directly to your existing theme" and tells merchants to "Customize everything in the theme editor — no code, no page builder." As of September 17, 2026 it stated: "Most sections are just 0–$9, with no recurring fee and no lock-in". section.store
Where Menaks fits, and where it doesn't
Menaks works from a narrower set of sources than PagePilot lists. It accepts only Amazon, AliExpress and Shopify product pages; Etsy, eBay, Walmart, Temu, Alibaba, TikTok Shop and ordinary brand sites are rejected. It writes one landing page into your active theme as an Online Store 2.0 template that you edit in the Shopify theme editor. Its limits:
- One page per store. A store holds one Menaks landing page at a time: every publish writes to the same theme template, so publishing again replaces it. On Free a second publish is blocked; on Pro and Scale it asks you to confirm, then replaces the previous page. The monthly counts are billing limits, not pages that exist side by side.
- Social proof. In the rating row, the AI's rating and review-count values and any urgency line are blanked by code before publish; AI-written reviews are placeholders that you must replace with real customer reviews or delete before the page goes live. A countdown is added only when you enter an end date; the code never invents one. Its "When timer ends" setting can also restart the clock, so leave it on "Hide the timer" if the offer really ends.
- Files stay after uninstall. Your page stays in your theme and doesn't depend on the app, but its section, block, snippet and asset files stay in your theme; removing them is manual.
- Languages, with limits. English, Spanish (Latin America), German, French, Portuguese (Brazil), Italian, Dutch, Turkish and Polish; no right-to-left languages. The app's own interface is English and Turkish only.
- No track record yet. Its App Store listing went live on July 22, 2026 and had no reviews as of September 17, 2026.
Three questions to decide
- Where do your products come from? Shortlist only tools that name your source in their own documentation.
- How many pages must be live at once? Read the plan's unit, whether created, published or live, before the price.
- What must still work if you leave? Prefer a vendor that documents its uninstall behavior, whatever that behavior is, over one that doesn't.

Frequently asked questions
What does PagePilot do?
PagePilot's Shopify App Store listing describes an AI page builder that builds product pages with upsells and bundles on any theme. According to the listing, you enter a product link from AliExpress, Amazon, Etsy, TikTok or Shein, and the page works on your current theme with no new theme and no code. These are the vendor's own claims; we have not tested them independently.
How much does PagePilot cost?
It depends on where you read the price. As of September 17, 2026, the Shopify App Store listing showed a Free plan with no export to your store, Lite at $39 a month for 10 pages and Scaler at $59 a month for unlimited pages. PagePilot's own pricing page showed Lite at $39, Starter at $59 and Scaler at $99, for 1, 3 and 5 stores. Note the channel next to every price you compare.
What happens to PagePilot pages if I uninstall the app?
As of September 17, 2026, we found no PagePilot documentation that describes what happens to published pages after an uninstall, so ask the vendor in writing before you rely on it. Builders that do document it give very different answers: PageFly documents immediate and irreversible deletion when you remove the app with its data, while Shogun documents that published pages stay, along with some of its code in your theme.
Should a PagePilot alternative add reviews and countdown timers for me?
Not invented ones. The FTC's Rule on the Use of Consumer Reviews and Testimonials went into effect on October 21, 2024, and an FTC staff report describes a baseless countdown timer as a fake clock that just goes away or resets when it times out. Whichever tool you choose, check which ratings, review counts or timers it fills in by default, and whether you can see and change them before the page goes live.
What should I compare before switching from PagePilot?
Compare six things in each vendor's own documentation: which product sources it accepts, whether the page lives in your theme and can be edited without the app, what happens to the page on uninstall, whether copy is written in your language or translated afterwards, what it fills in for reviews and timers, and what a page means in the plan's quota. Write down the date and the sales channel of every price.
